Day 01
Kandy
Once landed in Colombo, you will continue with your trip all around Sri Lanka with your own driver and tour guide. Kandy may be the place where you are taken, the hilltop capital of Sri Lanka's former monarchy. If you're traveling to Kandy stop by the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage which cares for sick or abandoned elephants. Occasionally an elephant can be seen swimming in the river. Proceed to Kandy stopping en route at a natural lawn used for Ayurvedic purposes.
Day 02
Kandy
Relax on this day at your accommodation after waking up in the center of Kandy. You will visit the Royal Botanical Garden and Sri Dalanda Maligawa, known as the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, in your Kandy city tour. Also, there is a Kandyan fire dance performance in the evening.
Day 03
Nuwara Eliya
On the third day of travel, you will head straight to Nuwara Eliya, popularly known as Little England. You will go on a hike through the forest and right to the summit of Ambuluwawa at the Biodiversity Complex. You also have the option of enjoying Kitulgala White Water Rafting if you prefer. Also in store for you is a visit to a tea plantation, a manufacturing facility, and the Ramboda waterfall. Sri Lanka, famous for its Ceylon tea, has been a source of happiness for people worldwide for over a century. As you reach Nuwara Eliya, the colonial ambiance, cottage-style houses, and crisp winter air welcome you.
Day 04
Nuwara Eliya
You could either chill out at the hotel or go for the day to Horton Plain National Park in the morning. Horton Plains is one of the most beautiful World Heritage Sites of the country, and while in Sri Lanka, you must pay a visit.
Day 05
Yala
Leave early on Day 5 for Yala - a region rich in populations of elephants and leopards. This is one of the most popular wildlife parks in Sri Lanka where one can see almost all species of animal that live here. En route to Yala, you will pass by Ella City and the Ravana waterfall. Additionally, you will enjoy a Jeep safari at Yala National Park in the afternoon.
Day 06
Hikkaduwa
This afternoon, you are heading either to Bentota Beach or Hikkaduwa. You could have a quick glimpse of the wreck and some beautiful pictures of a stilt fisherman. Also, you can find the Sea Turtle Hatchery project and the Galle Dutch fortress, which was originally built by the Portuguese in the sixteenth century and later overhauled during the Dutch Colonial period in the seventeenth century. The Galle Dutch fortress, which is now listed as a UNESCO World Historical site in Sri Lanka, happens to be the best fortification constructed by European occupiers in Asia.
Day 07, 08
Hikkaduwa
Beach activities are at your disposal to join in these two days. You may also welcome the option to dive and snorkel and enjoy the views.
